Terms & Conditions

1.  Consultations - We provide a free wedding consultation service to discuss your requirements, a quote will be provided shortly after this meeting.  Celebration cakes may be discussed by email, message or telephone.  If you decide to make any changes after this, the cost will be adjusted accordingly.
2.  Deposit - To secure your booking, we require a non-refundable deposit of £20 for celebration cakes and £50 for wedding cakes but this is dependent on the total cost of your cake.  Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.   Payment can be made by cash or bank transfer.
3.  Booking Confirmation - Once a final design is agreed and your deposit has been paid, your cake will be booked in and you confirm that you agree to these terms and conditions.  Your order  will be produced to the specification discussed although we do reserve the right to artistic license or to improve the structure of the cake.  We welcome inspiration pictures but we can guarantee that your cake  will be identical to these especially with AI  generated images.
4.  Balance -  The final balance of your order is due to be paid in full 7 days before you cake is collected or 6 weeks before your wedding day.
5.  Cancellations - If for any reason your booking is cancelled, the deposit and any additional monies already paid is non-refundable.  In certain circumstances, we may be able to transfer your order to an alternative date.
6.  Stand hire - we have a number of different cake stands available to hire at a one off cost of £20.  If for any reason the stand is damaged, the replacement cost will be deducted from your deposit. 
7.  Collection/Delivery – We only offer delivery and setup for wedding cakes and some tiered celebration cakes.   Delivery charges may apply based on the venue location.  You may collect your cake, however, once the cake has left our premises, the responsibility is your own.  You will need to assemble the cake at the venue but we are happy to provide instructions.  Once your cake has been  collected or delivered, full responsibility transfers to the customer.  We cannot accept liability for any damage occurring during transport, storage or handling after collection or delivery.
8.   Set up -  Please make sure that the correct address and postcode of your venue is on your  invoice.  We will contact the venue three days prior to the event to make arrangements for the safe delivery and set up of your cake.  Once the cake has been safely assembled, we will not take any liability for damage caused from this point on.
9.  Allergies -  Our cakes contain gluten, wheat and eggs unless otherwise stated. We are able to accommodate certain allergies, however, please consider this is a working kitchen full of a wide range of ingredients.
10.  Complaints -  In the rare event that you are dissatisfied with your cake, please email us at cakefairynorthampton@hotmail.com within 48hrs of collection or delivery and we can discuss the issue further to find a suitable resolution.
